Most sign-in problems are one of a handful of things, and all of them are fixable in a minute or two. Find the one that sounds like yours.
On the sign-in page you type your email address and press Email Sign-in Link. We send you an email with a link in it. That link is how you sign in. You click it and you are in — there is nothing else to type.
Most Clientt accounts have no password at all. If you are hunting for a password field and cannot find one, nothing is broken: this is the normal way in.
The email arrives from Clientt. It is usually in your inbox within a few seconds, occasionally up to a minute.
Work through these in order — one of them is almost always the answer.
If the page said “This link has expired or has already been used”, that is by design — sign-in links are deliberately short-lived, for your security:
If you never clicked it and it still says it was used: some company email systems open every link in every message automatically, to check it for viruses before you see it. That scan can consume a single-use link. It is not your account being accessed by someone else.
The fix is the same in every case: go back to the sign-in page and ask for a new link. Requesting a fresh one always works, however many times you need to do it — so if a link fails, just get another rather than trying to make the old one work.
This one catches people out, so it is worth understanding. We deliberately do not tell you whether an address has an account with us. If we did, anyone could type addresses into the form and learn who our customers are.
The consequence: a typo looks exactly like success. You get the same “check your email” message either way, and then no email ever comes — because it was sent to an address that does not exist, or never sent at all.
So if nothing arrives, check the spelling carefully. The usual suspects are:
.co
where you meant
.com
(or the other way round);
Try each address you might plausibly have used. If none of them works, your account may be under an address you have forgotten — that is a good moment to ask us.
If you are thinking “I never set a password” — you probably never did, and you do not need one. The emailed link is the way in for most accounts, which is why the sign-in page asks only for your email address.
If you know you do have a password — for example you set one when you first joined — the password form is still there, just not shown by default. Open the sign-in page with the password option and a password field will appear alongside the email one. “Forgot password?” is on that page too.
If you are not sure either way, use the emailed link. It works whether or not you have a password.
When you click the link you land on a page that says Logging you in… and then finishes signing you in by itself, after a moment. There is nothing to click. If it sits there for more than a few seconds, one of these is usually why:
If you see an error rather than a blank wait, it is almost certainly the expiry described in section 3 — ask for a new link.
If you have more than one Clientt login — say a personal one and a work one, or two different companies — your browser may still be holding the previous session, and clicking a new link can drop you back into it.
Sign out fully first, then use the link:
A private / incognito window is a quick way to be certain nothing is left over, though see the cookie note in section 6 before relying on one.
If none of the above got you in, we would rather hear from you than have you keep trying.
To save a round trip, tell us: the email address you are trying, roughly when you asked for the link, what you saw (the exact wording of any message), and which browser and device you are on. Please do not send us the sign-in link itself — anyone who has it can sign in as you.
